Here are some samples of inquiry questions that work toward transforming teaching and learning through the use of technology.

 

How can blogs be used with students to provide meaningful, timely feedback about their writing?

 

How can email be used to connect students to experts in the field of marine biology?

 

How can web 2.0 tools such as wikis be used by students to interact and collaborate not only among themselves but with real world experts to create wepages?

 

How can simulations be used by students to explore and learn about complex systems, issues, and operations?

 

How can web 2.0 tools such as ePals, email, wikis, and blogs be used by students to develop cultural and global awareness by connecting  them with students from other cultures?

 

How can Web 2.0 tools such as email, wikis, Diigo, and electronic databases be used by student learning teams to collaborate, contribute, and create original works to solve real-world problems?

 

How can students utilize and apply digital literacy skills to gather, evaluate, and use information to create original works as a means of personal or group expression?

 

How can e-porfolios be used by students to demonstrate meeting learning results?

 

How can wikis be used by students to showcase the classwork for viewing by parents?

 

How can podcasts be used by students to extend learning outside the school day?

 

How can technology be used to differentiate and individualize learning for students in a Language Arts class?

Develop your inquiry question. Keep in mind that your question should focus on how teaching and learning with technology can transform the learning and work:

  • students learn essential knowledge and skills
  • students apply essential knowledge and skills
  • students analyze and evaluate using essential knowledge and skills
  • students create something they may never have been able to do before
