Brainstorming Value / Beliefs of SL...What Do We Believe?

From Mary...If we are going to turn out students who care about and become engaged in the communities they live in, service learning is an essential teaching tool.  SL nurtures the sense of accountablility to something greater than oneself.  It is naturally engaging and meaningful.  SL moves the locus of control for a student's education to a greater, more common good.
